Aug 23: Mentorship Preparation

Being an Mentee? - What’s the deal?
Roles
Adjusting to each individual photographer
Are there any ground rules? What are expectations
Adjusting to new environments, Team how to deal with them
Technical experience - how do you gain experience
Bringing something to the table
MENTORS participate in “Basic Training” including job specific skills and expectations
Dependent on actual needs of the mentors for the Mentorship Month
Boot camp-style
Students apply to Mentors (2-3 specific mentors)
Prepare final portfolio for sharing with Mentor
Aug 26: Mentorship Interviews

One-on-one interviews with Mentors (each student can interview with up to 3 mentors)
Mentors assign to students
Expectations of professional interactions, job and related to Mentorships
Working in teams - roles, responsibilities, communication, attitudes, culture, etiquette
