Field Guide I: The Camera

  • 33 Washington St Brooklyn, NY, 11201 United States (map)

With ALAN WINSLOW

Who should take this class?

All aspiring photographers and hobbyists, travelers, designers, stylists, or anyone who wants to learn a lot about photography but doesn’t have a lot of time.

What you will learn

Learn all your basic camera operations and get started the right way with a condensed package of essential information.   This one-day workshop will cover all the functions and core concepts you need to know, as well as tips on how to get the kind of shot you want.  We'll be covering the basics of exposure, f-stops, shutter speeds, ISO, and dealing with different kinds of light.  We emphasize learning-by-doing, so we'll have class shoots inside and outside to help you apply your newly learned skills to real-world conditions. Plus it’s pretty fun.

What to bring?

Bring your camera and we will provide you with a syllabus and field guide notebook.
