Description
What to say about Coney Island? It was called The World's Playground and was for many years the most popular and sought after attraction in the world. Tremendous theme parks with bright lights that lit up the night sky, one-of-a-kind experiences, mobs of excitement-seekers plus a beach made Coney a formidable force for fun. That was all before the area's brutal decline, which saw parks shutter and streets become deserted and dangerous. But luckily, in the 90's, local artists and the community banded together to bring about a revival of the original theme park vibe, and Coney was reborn.
Now Coney Island is experiencing another evolution, and whether or not you're a fan of the new look, it's absolutely still one of the most interesting New York spots to shoot. Come join us to explore a neighborhood with one foot in the past, and the other in some nebulous future.
What to bring
