1 Day Workout: Camera Warm-Up!

  • 736 Bushwick Avenue Brooklyn, NY, 11221 (map)

Description

Want to get a jump-start in photography?  This workshop is definitely for you.  In five hours we'll help you forge a friendship with your digital camera, exploring its vital features and demystifying the buttons and dials that trip common users up.  From controlling exposure to getting a handle on autofocus, we'll unpack these tech-heavy tools in a simple and straightforward manner.  Camera Warm-Up! challenges students to learn and test their camera's essential functions by shooting in live situations, working responsively and intuitively.  We want you to take control of the camera, and not the other way around!

Who should take this class

This workout is great for aspiring photographers and hobbyists, travelers, designers, stylists, or anyone who wants to learn a lot about photography but doesn’t have a ton of free time.

What to bring

  • Your camera (DSLR or mirrorless ok!)

  • A charged battery or two

  • A cleanly-formatted memory card

  • Your camera manual

NOTE:  Film shooters are totally welcome in this class.  However, because of the abbreviated schedule, students wanting to learn on their film cameras will be required to bring or rent a digital SLR or mirrorless camera for teaching purposes during class.  We have camera rentals on hand if you need one.
