This special edition intro class is for teens and tweens aged 11-16. Please contact us if your student falls outside this age range.
Description
Analog is back! In recent years we've witnessed an incredible rise in interest from students of all ages, but particularly younger students born after the digital takeover. Kids have always pushed the limits of creativity and are now exploring yesterday's technology with today's keen eye. Simpler cameras and a slower, more methodical process can be liberating to young minds.
Over 8 weeks we'll cover basic film camera operation, darkroom skills, black & white film processing, test strips, contact sheets and negative enlargement. We'll be shooting lots of film and making tons of prints, giving our students an opportunity to express their creativity in the darkroom. Students will complete printing assignments each week with included darkroom membership for the duration of the class ($550 value, during regular opening hours).
