Creatives Through The Lens
“Creatives Through the Lens” is a body of work that highlights various influential artists and creative mentors I have had throughout my career as an emerging photographer. A series of environmental portraits convey the perspectives of these professionals in their creative space while working. Close ups on these individuals' hands and materials put an emphasis on the tools that make these works of art possible.
This project has allowed me to use my camera as my tool to capture these important people who have had such an impact and introduced me to endless creative outlets and knowledge. From my first art teacher in elementary school who gave me my first taste of creating art, to my high school photography teacher who taught me how to use a camera and many more, this series is a nod to them. I wouldn’t be the creative I am without them!
