Dare To Win!
"Dare To Win!" is a mixed-medium documentary photo-collage focusing on the work of the local organization "Dare To Struggle SoCal" throughout the summer of 2024. Read the fliers to see about views, past actions, and different ways you can contribute to the work the organization does; especially the upcoming yearly tradition that is the National Day of Protest against police brutality (October 22nd).
The artist has documented and presented work before, but never through a collage of this form. Yet, as a result of being a part of ASMP's Bridge Program, they have come to accept and embrace being comfortable in doing work that makes them uncomfortable.

About Richard
Richard Flores is an award-winning photographer with two main modes of operation: capturing lost moments and engineering captivating images. As an activist, Richard has recently been combining their fine-art photography experience with documentary photography to showcase the work their organization is involved in. They hope their work will push others to join in the struggle as well, and push people to have a more critical view of the world they find themselves in. When not out organizing and documenting, they can also be found shooting live music events, creative portraits, formalist street series, among many other endeavors.
Presented by BKC & ASMP NY, The Bridge is a groundbreaking 16-week mentorship program for 18-26 year old emerging photographers and creative artists. To learn more about The Bridge, CLICK HERE.
